Backstage at Nordstrom's Spring Designer Preview

Last week I was fortunate enough to help the wonderful ladies at the Nordstrom Fashion Office with their Spring 2011 Designer Preview. The collections were a blend of simple and wild, and the colors were all over the map. Brights and subdued pastels both earned their spotlight, and the show took place in a beautiful private airplane hangar that opened onto the San Diego International Airport's tarmac. The models loaded onto a stage surrounded in all directions by audience. A large box was lowered around them, and the reveal was more than a little dramatic in other-wordly blue light.
